Vehicle Description

New Ford Ranger Raptor For Sale

The New Ford Ranger Raptor runs as tough as its name. The high-end off-road vehicle comes with a powerful engine and is designed to take on rough driving conditions such as sandy deserts, rocky hills, and gravelly outback terrains.

Along with featuring a beast-like façade on the outside, with the hefty front grille and rugged tires, the Raptor also provides an excellent level of comfort to the passengers. Plus, thanks to the integrated touchscreen device and connectivity options, the vehicle also ensures that the drive is enjoyable from start to end.

In a lot of its features, the Ranger Raptor resembles the F-150 Raptor. The former is essentially a toned-down version of the latter, and it allows you to enjoy a similar experience albeit with some cut corners.
Being in the category of pickup trucks, the Raptor provides ample passenger space along with excellent storage options in the rear truck bed. The dual-cabin seating compartment can comfortably carry four passengers at a time along with a driver.

Ford Ranger Raptor Engine and Performance

292 Baby !
The only Ford Ranger with this engine. The V6 engine is the same on other models but the Ford Ranger Raptor has this engine locked away until the Tech Boys can pump it up to 292 an 360.
The There’s a lot that we can talk about when it comes to the Ranger Raptor. Even when looking only at the performance-related features and factors, there is a long list that we can go through.

Engine and Transmission

The Ford Ranger Raptor comes with a 3.0L V6 engine that provides 392 HP @ 5,650 RPM and 583 Nm @ 3,500 RPM. The vehicle comes with an electronic 10-speed transmission that provides a smooth driving experience while requiring minimal input from the driver.

Selectable Modes

The range of available modes is one of the exceptional and outstanding features that you can enjoy with the Ford Ranger Raptor. There are different modes that you can choose for your overall driving experience as well as for the steering, damper, and exhaust.

  • Drive Modes

According to Ford, the Drive Modes that you can pick from include:

  • Normal
  • Sport
  • Slippery
  • Mud/Ruts
  • Sand
  • Baja
  • Rock Crawl

All of these modes have their own respective purposes. For one, if you enable the Sport mode, the vehicle will provide mode acceleration by engaging the lower gears for more time before switching onward. In this mode, the four-wheel-drive auto is selected by default.

On the other hand, if you enable the Slippery mode, the vehicle will brace and ready itself for climbing and mounting slippery surfaces. When this mode is engaged, the vehicle will focus on properly shifting weight to easily surmount less grippy terrain. Also, during this mode, the throttle response will be lowered, thus reducing the chances of sudden acceleration – which can cause tire slippage.

The same types of conditions/activations are applied by the car in each of the different modes. Just as the throttle response is lowered in the Slippery mode, it gets enhanced and optimized in the Sand mode.

  • Steering Modes

The Drive Modes on the Raptor essentially decide the driving experience by adjusting the throttle, shifting, etc. However, other than the Drive Modes, there are also three “steering” modes that you can choose from and select as per your need and requirement.

The three steering modes include:

  • Normal
  • Sport
  • Baja

These modes essentially decide the feedback of the steering wheel.

  • Damper Modes

Moving on, the dampers AKA shock absorbers can also be adjusted using selectable modes. The shock absorbers are actually one of the high-end and special components of the Ranger Raptors. The 2.5” Live Valve Shock Absorbers electronically adjust up to 500 times in a second to keep the ride smooth, according to Ford.

Like the steering, there are three different modes that you can choose from for the dampers. They are:

  • Normal
  • Offroad
  • Sport
  • Exhaust Modes

Last but not least, there are four different exhaust modes that you can choose from to adjust the sound feedback and the engine’s performance.

The four exhaust modes include:

  • Quiet
  • Normal
  • Sport
  • Baja

In the Quiet mode, the Raptor keeps the exhaust note on the down-low. As a result, the performance also remains at a sub-optimal level. This mode is ideal if you want to take out the vehicle in the middle of the morning hours, and you don’t want to leave a roaring ruckus for your neighbors.

In the Normal mode, the note picks up a little and the performance also improves. This mode is, as the name indicates, for normal use i.e., when driving inside the city.

The Sport mode makes the exhaust louder still. The noise is reciprocated with the increased performance.

Lastly, the Baja mode lets loose the full sound of the exhaust. This mode is only to be used during off-road driving.

The best thing about all these modes is that you can create a configuration of your choice, and then assign it to the My Mode button. Then, you can later use the My Mode button and recall the previous settings without adjusting them separately.

Braking and Differential

The brakes on the Ford Ranger Raptor come complemented with an electronic brake booster that makes them more reliable and responsive. This feature can help in making your rides safer and more secure.

Another excellent perk that you can enjoy with the Ford Ranger Raptor is the front-locking differential. By locking in place when needed, the differential is able to provide better traction and stability to the vehicle.

Interior and Exterior

The performance capabilities of the Ranger Raptor alone make it worth the investment. But there is a host of other perks and features that make it an even more excellent choice.

Interior

The Ranger Raptor comes equipped with a 12.4” instrument cluster behind the steering wheel that provides you with the data and information you need during your drive. Other than the digital instrument cluster, there is also a 12” touchscreen located at the center of the dashboard that you can use for cell phone connectivity, navigation, etc.

With the Raptor, you can enjoy a comfortable ride thanks to the sporty front and rear seats. The contoured profile of the seats will help you stay firmly in place even when the driving gets rough.

Accessibility is made super easy with the Ranger Raptor. You can easily switch modes using the buttons on the steering wheel.

Exterior

The excellent engine performance, comfort, and control provided by the Ford Ranger Raptor are most excellently topped off by the elegant exterior. While we’re mentioning the exterior right at the end, it’s more due to the demand of “saving the best for last”.

To start off, the vehicle comes with a bold Ford logo placed right on the front grille, bracketed with the aesthetic C-shaped LED headlights.

Below the front grille comes the black bumper, which is further complemented by the silver skid plate installed right at the bottom. This stylish combination of components right at the front of the vehicle makes it stand out.

The Ford Ranger Raptor is available in different shades and colors, but all of them unanimously sport black accents along the bumpers, wheels wells, window frames, and tonneau borders.

Last but not least, the vehicle comes equipped with durable and hardy off-road alloy wheels decked out with high-quality BF Goodrich tires. The tires are suitable for all types of terrain, whether tarmac, sand, sleet, or gravel.
